2019 Merlot
Dark cherry, blackberry and currant. Chocolate and oak. Brooding in a nice way. Very balanced. Perfect with cured meat and aged cheddar, a cigar, or a medium rare bison burger that’s been coated with kosher salt and black pepper.
2018 Zin
Dark, spicy and balanced. This really leads with the dark fruits. I can see some pomegranate and blueberry as well. I need a steak with this but it’s easy enough to sip with a good book.
2021 Sauvignon Blanc
Bright, acidic, citrusy, tropical and dry with some minerality. Perfect for this heat. Break out the fromage blanc and the water crackers, oysters, or shrimp salad. Just pure summer fun!
2019 Chardonnay
Here’s the chard you need for your grill fare. Round, full, with citrus, pear, and stone fruit. Nice acidity as well. Bring on the grilled salmon and chops.
2018 Cab
Black currant, strawberry, dark chocolate with harmonic tannins and a lingering finish. Very food friendly. Lamb NOW!
2016 Cab
Similar to the above except the fruit is starting to merge with the oak and smoke allowing them to take the lead. It’s rare to see the progression of age side by side. I still want lamb.
